Morning could be chilly in Kathmandu, Nepal in November. Still, I liked to rise early and wander the streets, which were often very alive with local people. One tended not to encounter too many Europeans on the streets at that hour -- many remained in bed, sleeping off the effects of a late night spent in one of Kathmandu's many "tea" houses.
